Why Buenos Aires? Buenos Aires is a city with a hugh cultural heritage and its own characteristics. It is amusing and serious, folk an urban, humble and sophisticated, crowdie and intimate, American and European.
Besides, Buenos Aires has cafes and restaurants opened until late in the night; people who is mad about soccer; a representing music: tango, a multicultural architecture with French and Arabian palaces, and precarious and colourful metal sheet houses; colonial and new buildings; and the view of a large city with parks and wooded streets. Being on the River Plate side, Buenos Aires is an interesting gate leading to Argentina and Latin America. Why Congreso? Congreso is a popular neighborhood crossed by the famous Av. De Mayo, the Buenos Aires "Gran Via", which runs from the Parliament building, as big as the power that it represents, to Plaza de Mayo and the Pink House. The hole area shapes an eye-catching set of important buildings with domes and well preserved facades, typical restaurants, hostel and hotels with last XIX and early XX century architecture and the oldest Metro line (A) under the avenue. Being in Congreso, you can easily experience the true Buenos Aires spirit and move everywhere. BASI is in Congreso, on the musician's street, which has instruments in its show windows and music flowing out of the shops. The school has a view to the street side façade of an art deco building. It is two blocks from Av. De Mayo and 9 de Julio, close to the metro station. Why us? Buenos Aires Spanish Institute offers courses aimed at achieving goals like solving everyday situations in a short time, improving grammar and vocabulary, gaining fluency, etc. Method, teachers and materials, are continuously updated with current topics and needs. Classes involve a lot of fun interaction which lets the students learn easily. BASI has flexible programs and timetable so as to take the most of the student´s time in Buenos Aires. We have set up a variety of different types of courses to fit everyone's needs, ranging from highly intensive survival programs to more relaxed ones. A key aspect about the schools flexibility is that you can start your course every single day of the week, choosing one to one lesson, joining a group or following a short training before being part of the group. Our Staff Analía Maricel Gutiérrez Academic Director - Specialist in learning disabilitys like Dyslexia. Licenciada en Letras, especialidad lingüística (Universidad de Buenos Aires). Se desempeña como docente en diversos institutos y en forma privada desde 1988. A partir de 2000 funda y dirige Practique español, cuyos materiales y tests de evaluación han sido usados para la enseñanza de extranjeros y la capacitación de profesores. En 1998 obtiene un diploma en Diseño y Gestión de proyectos de e-learning y Educación a Distancia. Actualmente coordina los cursos para estudiantes de intercambio de la Universidad Tecnológica Nacional. Es, además, neurolingüista (Facultad de Psicología, U.B.A.) y coordinadora de la Fundación Argentina de Afasia "Charlotte Schwarz" desde 1995. Fue redactora en medios gráficos y autora de guiones de T.V. para México y Argentina. Daniel Fernando Montiel Commercial Director--Social investigator Licenciado en Comunicación Social, con orientación en Opinión Pública y Publicidad. Desde 1996 se especializa en marketing directo y , tras una breve carrera en empresas de telecomunicaciones, en el 2001 funda y dirige su propio call center. Es redactor publicitario e investigador en el área de posicionamiento (positioning). |
